About Niamh Choesang.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, but it wasn't until I turned eighteen that I was able to fully embrace it as an art form. This was largely due to my disability, Cerebral Palsy, which often made it difficult for me to express myself in traditional ways. Through writing, I was able to show a side of myself that wasn't often seen by others. My potential was not always recognized or acknowledged, but through my writing, I was able to showcase the talent and potential that only a few people knew I had. It wasn't until I met my friend, mentor, and fellow Australian author, John Marsden, that my passion for writing truly ignited. I had always been a fan of John's work during my teenage years and admired his talent for storytelling. His guidance and encouragement have helped me to grow as a writer and to continue pursuing my passion for the written word. Although some may see me as arrogant, I know that I'm not THAT specia!l 

Aside from being a writer, in my spare time I am also a photographer, mainly shooting landscapes but sometimes I dip my toes into portrait photography.

I find that photography gives me yet another way to unleash my creativity by capturing the natural beauty of the world through my camera lens.
